Juzzle
Terms of Use
Effective 13 October 2026 · Last updated 16 October 2026
In short
- Juzzle is free for your personal use. Please use it, and what you share from it, with the respect the Quran deserves.
- Translations are human renderings of the meaning, not the Quran itself. Juzzle is a learning companion, not a source of religious rulings.
- The Juzzle name, logo, design and code are ours. The Quran text, translations, recitations and fonts belong to their sources, credited below.
- We work hard to keep Juzzle accurate and running, but it comes as it is, without guarantees.
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Ahmad Faraz, an individual developer based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us"), who makes and publishes Juzzle. By downloading or using the Juzzle app you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. The app
Juzzle helps you learn and remember the Quran through daily puzzles, practice games, duels with friends, an Ayah of the day, and reading and listening to the mushaf. The app is free. Recitation audio needs an internet connection; everything else works offline.
We may improve, change or remove features, and we may stop offering the app. Where a change significantly affects you, we will try to tell you in the app first.
3. The Quran in Juzzle
- The text. Juzzle shows the Quran's Arabic text from authoritative sources (listed in section 7) and does not alter it. The one deliberate exception is a game in which a single word is swapped for you to find; that card is clearly marked as altered, and the original is restored and shown when you answer.
- Translations are human translations of the meaning of the Quran. They are not the Quran itself, and no translation can fully carry its meaning.
- Puzzles show ayat on their own, outside their full context. To understand an ayah properly, read it in its place in the mushaf and learn from qualified teachers and scholars.
- Learning, not rulings. Juzzle is a learning and memorisation companion. Nothing in it is a fatwa or religious advice.
We take great care over accuracy, checking text and translations against printed editions. If you find an error, please tell us at juzzle.app@gmail.com and we will correct it.
4. Using Juzzle
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Juzzle on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. In using Juzzle, you agree not to:
- alter Quran text or translations from the app and present them as genuine, or use anything from Juzzle in a way that mocks or disrespects the Quran;
- copy, extract or redistribute the app's content or data in bulk, or use it to build another product or dataset;
- sell, rent or sublicense the app, or use it commercially without our written permission;
- reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app, except where the law allows this despite these terms;
- tamper with puzzles, scores or duel codes to mislead others, or use the app to break the law or harm anyone;
- use the Juzzle name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse or are connected with you.
5. What you share
You can share your results, Ayah of the day images and duel challenges. You are responsible for what you share and where. A duel challenge carries the name you set in the app, so please choose one you're happy for others to see, and don't use names that are offensive or that impersonate someone else.
You're welcome to share Juzzle's images as they are, for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please don't edit the Quran text or translation in them, or remove the credits or the Juzzle mark.
6. What belongs to us
The Juzzle name, logo and visual identity, the app's design and illustrations, its software, and the puzzles, games and their wording are owned by Ahmad Faraz and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms don't give you any right to them beyond using the app as described here.
7. Sources and credits
Juzzle is built on the work of others, used under their terms and credited in the app's How to play & credits screen:

8. Other services
Recitation audio is provided by EveryAyah.com, and sharing goes through apps and services you choose. These are run by others under their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them or their availability.
9. No warranty
We do our best to make Juzzle accurate, safe and reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will always be available, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose, or that your progress will never be lost (for example if your device is reset or the app is deleted).
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of data or progress, arising from your use of Juzzle. Because the app is free, our total liability to you for any claim about Juzzle is limited to USD 50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the laws of your country.
11. Apple and Google
These terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google, and we, not they, are responsible for Juzzle. If you downloaded Juzzle from the App Store, you may use it on Apple devices you own or control as the App Store's terms allow; Apple has no obligation to provide support for it; any claims about the app are for us to deal with, not Apple; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. If you downloaded Juzzle from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply.
12. Ending
You can stop using Juzzle at any time by deleting it. If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, your licence to use Juzzle ends. Sections 3, 6, 7 and 9 to 14 continue to apply after that.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and disputes are subject to the courts of Dubai. If you are a consumer, you keep any protection the mandatory laws of your own country give you, and you may also bring a claim in your local courts where those laws allow it. Before any formal step, please write to us so we can try to resolve the matter together.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Juzzle grows. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Juzzle after that, the updated terms apply. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
15. Contact
Questions about these terms, or to report an error in the Quran content: juzzle.app@gmail.com.
Ahmad Faraz, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
